And you thought crashs/blue screen’s were a thing of the past.. Turns out when installing Windows 7 on Virtual Server R2 you need Service Pack 1 or the additions trigger a bluescreen.
That’s fine but the ‘regular’ SP1 from Microsoft claimed to have already been installed. After numerous bluescreens, frustration and 30 minutes of googling it turns out there is an alternate downlod (MSP file) which gets SP1 installed @ MSDN . Hope this saves someone else the frustration I went thru. Ah software testing, I love you so.
